Houses gutted, animals charred to death in Karnah

SRINAGAR, Jan 20: The residential house gutted in a mysterious nocturnal blaze in Karnah area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district during the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday.
The extreme heart wrenching side of this unfortunate incident was that seven animals were charred to death in Jada village of Karnah north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
CNS correspondent from Karnah Waseem Baba reported that the fire incident took place intervening night of Tuesday and wednesday when residential house of Alif Din Poswal son of Mir Mohd Poswal resident of Jada village of Karnah caught fire.
He added that within no time, flames engulfed the entire structure which got reduced to debris and killed seven animals which included a horse and cow; however fortunately the family members escaped unhurt.
The victim appealed to the authorities to provide them relief so they can restart their life as the animals only their source of income which killed in the fire incident.
A police official also confirmed the fire incident to CNS & said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tanghdar and the cause of fire to ascertain the facts.
