MUMBAI, Jan 17: Kenyan captain Shem Ngoche has condemned the recent terror attacks in Nairobi.
More than 20 people were killed when the men armed with guns and explosives burst into a hotel complex in Nairobi. The attacks lasted hours and ended Wednesday morning.
Speaking exclusively over telephone from Nairobi, the 29-year-old left-arm orthodox bowler Ngoche said, "with the recent terror attack in our country it is very sad that such thing can happen and people loosing there lives it very sad and as a country we are all grieving and the mood and feeling is low at the moment".
"I was coming from training at around 3:45 when I got home when I switched my TV I saw breaking news my heart just melted there and there, I started thinking why innocent people should loose there lives over nothing and it's not good.
"If these terrorists are brave enough they should go and fight with our soldiers who are in their country because they are trained in war not to come and harm innocent people whom can't defend themselves.
"Most important I feel our intelligence people must work harder because we can't be insecure in our own country and we pay taxes which is used to pay them, they must work harder to make sure we feel safe", he further added.
"About the motive I can't be sure but the Al-Shabaab have claimed their work because our military is trying to help them and have peace and safety in their country and they always insist our military should come out of their country so it more of them retaliating" .
"I just want to urge everyone in the world to pray for our country and especially those families that have lost there loved one", he concluded.
