Congress itself responsible for CBI affairs by exempting it from RTI Act

Kashmir Times. Dated: 2/6/2019 2:52:43 PM

Dear Editor,
It refers to Congress now crying foul on selection of Rishi Kumar Shukla as new CBI Chief, a person who was very recently ousted as Director General of Police after Congress formed government in Madhya Pradesh. But Congress is itself responsible for all affairs in CBI witnessing bitter fight between two top-persons in CBI leading to selection of new CBI Chief because of the great sin done by Congress in its UPA regime by making CBI out of purview RTI Act for narrow political thinking.
Even though central government is fully justified to select new CBI Chief by 2-1 majority in the high-powered selection-panel where CJI vote in favour of government-choice made Congress isolated on the issue. However to be fair-most, a healthy tradition can be set up for future through a healthy tradition whereby government may put final panel of three persons from which opposition leader may opt for achieving unanimity on selection of CBI Chief. But presently Congress may face outcome of its own sin by sticking to Rishi Kumar Shukla as new CBI Chief.

Rahul visit for petty gain
Dear Editor,
To be fair enough, it does not suit a great leader of a grand national party to use his visit to an ailing person to "feed political opportunism". Yes, I am talking about Congress President Mr Rahul Gandhi who recently visited ailing Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who had been undergoing treatment for a pancreatic ailment, on the pretext of enquiring about his health but later he sued it for "petty political gains". Of course, Rafale deal is a matter of concern for the entire nation but to cross all the limits even not to leave the ailing to drag him into the matter is not good for any leader. So, Mr Rahul Gandhi should equip with a healthy political tradition if he really wants to appear as a "great leader" in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
