JAMMU, Nov 18: Angry seven key members resigned from J&K Football Association aimed the failure of JKFA's working on development and proper organisation of the game which has damaged it in all parts of J&K.
Continuing with the resentments against the poor functioning of JKFA majority of the registered Clubs in J&K especially in Srinagar and Jammu have lost their faith and have raised voice against few incompetent persons who are sitting on the chair for their own interests rather than working for football and are hell bent to stepdown despite being elected unconstitutionally.
Among resigned first resignation came from renowned sports administrator Chairman Sports Board J&K Bank and former national footballer Abdul Hamid Banday from the post of Executive Member. Since the elections held last year in 2018, not even a single meeting of Executive Committee has been called and all the decisions were been taken by one or two persons individually. More people are expected to tender their resignation in coming days dueto the poor management and organisation of JKFA which has lost the glory of football, which once used to be the most loved and played sport in J&K said A H Banday.
During my playing days people used to come in thousands to cheer for their teams in any ordinary match but now the situation has gone to worst where few people came to see premier division matches that too in Srinagar and conditions are more worsening in other Districts.
The Clubs and Teams representatives in many districts have started protesting against the unconstitutional functioning of the J&K Football Association and have demanded their resignations. They have no vision and roadmap in place and have been managing things very casually. Poor Organisation and handling things unprofessionally is the reason why our teams are not able to grab medals inspite of being potential football place where physique and climatic conditions are God gifted claimed former International Player Arun Malhotra and International Coach Sajid Dar.
National & International Footballers Delegationof J&K (NIFDJK) which comprises famous football personalities like MehrajUd Din Wadoo, Ishfaq Ahmed, Hilal Parray (ProLicense Coach), Manzoor Dar (A License Coach), Intikhab Alam (B License Coach), Ajaz Ahmed ( Coach Real Kashmir), Zahoor Haroon (Former International Footballer), Muzamil Mahmoud (AFC B License Coach) among others have strongly spoken against the poor and unconstitutional functioning of JKFA in many seminars.
All the principal office bearers of the Association are holding the chairs unconstitutionally and needs the overhauling of the entire set and appeal the Sports bodies to dissolve the J&K Football Association immediately.
Present regime of people at JKFA have violated all eligibility conditions of the AIFF, Sports Council and Indian Olympic Association constitution. Unless and until these people are not replaced the problems will remain continue and the game will be thrown to the dark corners. There are many people inside the JKFA who are upset with their working and may also join in mass resignation drive.
All the resigned have appealed the Govt authorities to look into the matter seriously and save this beautiful game from dying which one was considered the most lovable sport of J&K.
