March from Jammu to Srinagar begins

JAMMU, Nov 26: Seeking restoration of democracy in Jammu & Kashmir, a march from Jammu to Srinagar organised by right activists supported by a number of organisations, began Tuesday.
The march, which will culminate on December 1 at Srinagar, in its first leg reached Udhampur this evening.
The organisers of the march included I D Khajuria, J&K Forum for Peace and Territorial Integrity, Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Bangladesh Bharat Pakistan People's Forum, advocate Subhash Singh Samyal, Internationalist Democratic Party, Nirdosh Uppal, CPI(ML), Sukhdev Singh, Deshbakht Yadgar Committee, Santosh Khajuria, Mahila Adhikar Sangathan, Bilal Khan, Haq Insaf Party, S.Q.R. Ilyas, Welfare Party of India, Subhash Mehta, Narinder Khajuria, Pritam Gupta, Pritam Singh, Faisal Khan, Khudai Khidmatgar, Feroze Mithiborwala, Bharat Bharat Andolan, Dr. Sunilam, Samajwadi Samagam, National Alliance of People's Movements, Sandeep Pandey, Socialist Party (India) and Narinder Singh Khalsa Sikh Intellectual Forum and Comrade Pritam Singh.
