“My vehicle runs short of petrol and I am here since morning waiting to get fuel, it’s like emergency situation in Kashmir that I have ever witnessed besides roads are inundated with water and administration invisible on ground,” said Shabir Ahmad.
He said people face difficulties due to the shortage of essentials with administration other than assurance making no efforts to end crises like situation which emerged in the aftermath of fresh snowfall in Kashmir.
From Boulevard Road to Lal Chowk, roads are flooded with rain water and the administration is yet to take measures to make roads able for traffic movement.
Accept for light passenger vehicles on few routes of Srinagar, public transport was off the roads due to slippery conditions and water logging.
“I preferred to stay at home than to put passenger’s lives in danger. One can see roads are inundated with water. How could one move out in this situation,” said Abdul Rashid a Sumo driver.
