In an exclusive interview with Kashmir Times, Waheed Ur Rahman Para, MLA of J&K Peoples Democratic Party shared his views on the first phase of the UT J&K Legislative Assembly session.
He acknowledged that, while the current assembly is one of the weakest in the history of Indian democracy, it is still important to make the best use of it.
Para highlighted the differences between the National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) resolutions on Article 370 and emphasized the need for a unified approach.
He also addressed key issues such as unemployment, the reservation crisis, and the release of political prisoners, which remain major concerns in the region.
Additionally, Para noted that, despite the National Conference’s limited powers, meaningful changes can still be brought about under the current circumstances. His remarks emphasized the need for collective efforts and practical decision-making to tackle the challenges faced by the region.
