JAMMU, Nov 5: Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K President Pt Rajesh Kesri today strongly condemned murder of Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri outside a temple in a busy Amritsar locality and demanded Police to unveil any conspiracy behind the murder.
Kesri appealed Punjab Police not to allow the situation to be disturbed by unveiling the entire conspiracy behind the murder and all those who are behind it should be arrested,” Kesri said in a press conference in Jammu today. It is an unfortunate incident and we condemn it strongly, he said. Reacting to the incident, Kesri said the law and order situation has completely broken down in the state.
The killing comes just months after the murder, in May, of another prominent person with police security — singer Sidhu Moosewala — raising questions on Bhagwant Mann’s Aam Aadmi Party government that was formed in March. Kesri further said that Law and order is deteriorating and going from bad to worse. Shiv Sena Hindustan condemns murderous attack on Shiv Sena leader in Amritsar. Political differences apart, violence is unacceptable.
Culprits must be brought to book.” Sudhir Suri’s murder also brings back memories of a series of killings of right-wing or religious leaders, most of them from Hinduva outfits, in 2016 and 2017, when the Akali Dal-BJP and the Congress were in power at different times, added Kesri.
