Anuradha Bhasin

In 2024 Lok Sabha elections, there is no Modi wave and so all he has done is to rake up Hindu-Muslim divide, said former finance minister, Yashwant Sinha in an interview with Kashmir Times.

Comparing Modi’s report card on economics, inflation and unemployment with the Congress manifesto, he explained why there is disenchantment with the Modi government.

“They talk about $5 trillion economy or a distant future. People can’t relate to that. They want improvement in their lives now,” he said. Not only will they not get the majority, there is a possibility that the INDIA core may get a clear majority, he said.

On Kashmir, he spoke about the increasing discontent and commended the Kashmiris for their wisdom and resilience, Amit Shah visit and much more.

Sinha also headed the Concerned Citizens Group on Kashmir. On the way forward, he reiterated the need for dialogue and reaching out to the people of Kashmir.
